The Mattey House Vineyard was planted in 1988 for the previous owners of the Mattey House. The vineyard has 1.125 acres of which 1 acre is Muller Thurgau; the rest is a combination of Niagara, Concord and Scarlet Flame eating grapes. The Niagara and Concord grapes we originally used by the previous owners to make jams, jellies and grape juice. Oak Knoll Winery currently purchases Muller Thurgau, Niagara, and Concord grapes from the vineyard and they keep Scarlet Flames as eating grapes in the B&B. The Mattey House Vineyard sits on Woodburn soil, and is located in the Yamhill-Carlton appellation.
